The cupholder and outer cap of the armrest are made from 2mm aluminium, timber and cushioned leather. The backing plate that mounts to the door with rivnuts is made with 2mm mild steel to work with the top leather pad that magnets down. 
 
The cupholder mounts to the dash itself to keep your drink in one spot. No more launching your drink into your dash!
